This is an open theme, open media call in which all the work is presented on square, 10x10 inch panels.
To show in this exhibit, you pay a $30 registration fee, which includes a 10x10 inch cradled wood panel and exhibition label from Third Story. Use your panel to create a painting or mixed media work, or mount a paper work to it, and return the panel to Third Story by Saturday, October 31.
When you register online, we will reserve a panel for you. Panels can be picked up during gallery hours: Tuesday and Friday, 10 am to 2 pm; Saturday, 11 am to 3 pm.
To register, click the button that says “add to cart.” You will be prompted for your name and contact information. The registration fee will then be added to your cart. You are not registered until you go to the cart and submit your payment.
Clicking “add to cart” puts the registration fee in your cart. To complete the registration, please click the cart icon at the top of the page, share your contact information, and pay the fee.

This is not a juried show. Everyone who purchases and returns a panel will be in the show.

What does it cost to participate?
The $30 registration fee includes the cost of the panel.
How do I get my panel?
You can come to Third Story during our gallery hours to pay the registration fee, and we will give you the panel at that time, OR you may pay the fee online and we will reserve a panel for you to be picked up during our gallery hours. Our address is 44 North Christian Street, Lancaster, PA 17602. Take the elevator to the third floor. Gallery Hours: Tuesday and Friday, 10 am to 2 pm. Saturday, 11 am to 3 pm.
What are the dates of the exhibition?
The opening events will be on Friday, November 6, from 10 am to 8 pm and Saturday, November 7 from 11 am to 3 pm. The exhibition will be on view through Saturday, December 19.
How are paintings selected for the exhibit?
Everyone who registers and returns a panel by October 31 gets in!
Should I frame the panel or wire the panel for hanging?
No, thanks! We want a consistent look across the gallery, so, no frames, please. Similarly, in order to have all the panels hang level with one another on the wall, we are asking that you do not add any hanging hardware to the back of the panel. It is your choice whether you wish to paint the sides of the panel or leave them bare.
What happens if you sell my artwork?
Since you will have already given us money for the registration fee, our commission for this show is only 25%. We will reimburse you at the conclusion of the show.
What happens if you don’t sell my artwork?
The exhibit closes on December 19. Any unsold paintings must be picked up on December 19, between 3 pm and 4 pm or on January 5, between 10 am and 2 pm. We are willing to make appointments for pick up during the first week of January if these times do not suit.
Paintings unclaimed by January 9 will be handled at the discretion of Third Story.
